ChatVector Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC873882), trading as Tagless.ai ("Tagless", "we", "us", or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use our website at tagless.ai and our application at app.tagless.ai (collectively, the "Services").
Our registered office is at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN, United Kingdom.
1. Data Controller
ChatVector Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through the Services. For data that our customers collect from their website visitors using the Tagless tracking script, the customer is the data controller and Tagless acts as a data processor on their behalf.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and company name. When you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect payment information (processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card details). When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we may collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and date and time of your visit. We use cookies and similar technologies as described in section 8 below.
Information collected by the Tagless tracking script
When our customers install the Tagless tracking script on their websites, the script collects the following data about their website visitors: the Google Click ID (GCLID) from Google Ads, interactions with conversion points (form submissions, clicks on WhatsApp links, email links, and SMS links), a unique session identifier, and the referring page URL. This data is collected on behalf of our customers (who are the data controllers) for the purpose of conversion tracking and is processed by us as a data processor.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data to provide, maintain, and improve our Services, process payments and manage your subscription, communicate with you about your account and our Services, send you marketing communications (with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time), detect and prevent fraud or abuse of our Services, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
We process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you have subscribed to), legitimate interests (to improve our Services, prevent fraud, and for direct marketing to existing customers), consent (for marketing communications to prospective customers and for the use of non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (to comply with applicable laws and regulations).
5. Data Sharing
We may share personal data with the following categories of recipients: payment processors (to process your subscription payments), cloud hosting providers (to host our Services), Google (via the Google Ads API, to sync conversion data on your behalf), and professional advisers (such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary).
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may disclose personal data if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
6. International Transfers
Our Services are hosted on servers that may be located outside the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically 12 months) to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes. Conversion tracking data collected by the Tagless script is retained for up to 90 days to facilitate attribution, after which it is automatically deleted unless the customer has exported it.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are necessary for the Services to function and cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website. The Tagless tracking script uses a first-party cookie to store the GCLID and session information on our customers' websites. This is essential to the function of the conversion tracking service.
9. Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, rectify inaccurate personal data, request erasure of your personal data, restrict or object to certain processing of your personal data, data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format), and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@tagless.ai. We will respond within one month.
10. Rights of Your Website Visitors
If you are a website visitor and the Tagless tracking script has collected data about you, please contact the website owner (our customer) to exercise your data protection rights. As the data controller, they are responsible for responding to your requests. We will assist our customers in fulfilling such requests.
11. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, regular security reviews, and access controls limiting who can access personal data within our organisation.
12. Children
Our Services are not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Services. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
14. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
15. Contact
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at privacy@tagless.ai.
